Ingredients
  

  • 2 inches fresh ginger root peeled and sliced

  • 4 cups water

Method
 

  1. Place sliced ginger and cinnamon sticks in a small pot on the stove.
  2. Add 4 cups of water and bring to a gentle boil.
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes to extract the flavors and beneficial compounds.
  4. Strain the decoction into a heat-safe cup.
